How do i link two different menus in the Kiosk based on Eat-In or Takeaway?
Updated by Magdalena Stoyanova
In this tutorial, we are going to show you how to set up two different ordering menus for your kiosk based on whether the customer is dining in or taking out.
You can assign different price rules with varying tax rates, which is particularly useful where tax rates differ for dine-in and takeaway orders.
🕹️ Interactive tutorial
Step-by-step
- After logging in the Back-office, the first step is to click on Products.
- Then click on Menus.
- Click on + Add menu.
- Type in the name of your new menu in the Name field, make sure to check the Derived menu checkbox.
- Select the Menu and the Store you wish your new menu should be derived from. In this case, we have selected Kiosk.
- Click on Save for not losing the changes made.
Follow the same passages for creating the second menu you wish to link to the kiosk, in this case Takeaway.
- The next step is to click on General on the menu on the left.
- Then proceed by clicking on Facilities.
- Click on the down-facing arrow next to the desired facility for expanding a list of options.
- A new menu will open, click on the down facing arrow next to the E-Commerce.
- Click on the pencil icon next to the Takeaway facility, for example.
- A new window will open. Click on the settings Menu in the left top corner.
- Click on the corresponding field next to POS menu.
- Selected the previously created menu you wish to link to this facility by the drop-down menu, do the same for the second menu.
- Click on Save for not losing the progress made and then repeat the same passages for the second facility, Eat-in, in this example.
- The next step is to click on Self-Service in the menu on the left.
- Then go to Sales channels.
- Click on the pencil icon next to the ordering kiosk.
- Go to General and then in the subcategory General for sending the provisioning.
- After you have sent the provisioning, go back to Sales channels and click on Open link next to the Ordering Kiosk option for verifying that the 2 new menus have been correctly created.
That't is. You completed the tutorial and now know how to link 2 menus to one ordering kiosk channel.
